Pressure drop Testing of HE & Cooling Units

When a flow through the heat exchanger or the cooling units is disturbed, a pressure drop (ΔP) is created, i.e. the flow pressure at the beginning of a passage is higher than at its end. Pressure drop is a phenomenon with both positive and negative consequences for the heat transfer process.

Kumaran has developed a Pressure drop test set-up to evaluate and measure this pressure drop across a system to obtain the Flow vs Static pressure curve. We do this by measuring the inlet flow characteristics and the characteristics of the outlet flow through a wind tunnel. With use of Highly sensitive test equipment a detailed report certified report is obtained to showcase the properties of the system tested.

We are here for testing other manufacture’s Heat exchangers or cooling units and also help them with providing solutions and ways to determine the pressure drop curve of the system.
