Let Us Understand Different Types of Blowers and Industrial Fans

You might have heard about Industrial fans and blowers; they are the most important machines that are designed to provide and accommodate a large flow of air or gas to various parts of a building or other structures.

Meet AMCA standard specifications

Blowers have the ability to cool electronic enclosures, induce drafts in boilers, and augment airflow on engines. Hence, we can say that they are the ideal companions of various types of industrial machines. They are also available in cast aluminum & galvanized steel impeller housing. You can select them as per your applications and needs. (Select specific design blowers that meet AMCA standard specifications.)

Today, many types of blowers are available, such as –

  • Centrifugal Air Blowers – They utilize high-speed blades to impart velocity to air or other gases. They are designed to deliver a number of blade orientations, including backward-curved, forward curved, etc. they can be multi- or variable speed units, depending upon the application. Often driven by electric motors, the speed can be changed using variable speed drives. They are often used on cooling and drying systems.
  • Positive Displacement Blowers – They use mechanical power in order to squeeze fluid to significantly increase pressure and/or velocity. They are usually driven by direct-coupled electric motors; however, gas engines can also drive them. They are used in pneumatic conveying, gas boosting, and sewage aeration, filter flushing, etc.

The bottom line

Did you know? Industrial blowers and fans are perfect for low, medium & high-pressure applications. Unquestionably, blowers, and fans are the most vital components for various industries. They are used to provide/increase airflow and help to manage extreme thermal conditions. Indeed, they are ideal for a wide range of production processes.
